22/8/15 Breakfasters looking in!

Opened curtain this morning at hotel to find a beautiful day, not forecasted, with the breakfast tables outside, residents breakfasting
Glad we were wearing pyjamas when we opened the curtains?
On ground floor, room 1, never been on ground floor or so close to reception.

Plan for today-house hunting and 3 viewings. Later meet one of Ange's work pals for dinner in Old Town.

I have been researching jobs,again today, spreading my net to include London-and there are quite a few including photography lecturers.

Yesterday's weather was much calmer than Thursday's but it was still cold. This morning is looking sunny and,as yesterday, the seagulls are noisy, unlike the beginning of the week when the weather was bad and they noticeable by their absence. Not much bird shit about either!

Awake, but enjoying waiting for the sun to rise, feeling tbe breeze through the window, and listening to the sounds of Hastings waking up, like someone emptying a load of bottles. The sea can also be heard here.

Plan for today-visit estate agents, organise some viewings.

Visited John Bray's estate agent and was registered for updates. Also arranged for 2 viewings tomorrow with another to add tomorrow morning.

Had a wander into town. Ange bought a cardi and some trousers. Found Vintage Bird wallpaper shop which we thought had gone bust as we couldnt find it. Bought a used mouse cheeseboard, clay, for the Hastings house.

Stopped off at a bar down George St for a pint. A small place with a corner bar and more (delicious sounding) cocktails uou could shake a stick at.

Out a few hours shopping, then back for a cuppa before we met Gaynor and Johnny.for a meal at yhe Robin Hood in Icklesham.

Just checked Marine Weather, so muchore accurate than Accuweather, gale force winds 6-8 expected. Yesterday was,really bad and wanted to compare to today's forecast but can't get old information. Rough or very rough sea expected with squally showers. 

Thought about photography this morning but it seems cold and there are currently no clouds. It's clouds that make pictures.

Despite the weather (Accuweather on my Samsung galaxy note said it was sunny here today!), our clothing held out in open terrain, driving rain and wind for just under 3 hours. It did well.

Unsure what to do today as weather bad again with no forecast suggesting anything different today. So we may walk along the cloudy and blustery front, call in a hotel or 2 for a cuppa and some pubs for a couple of beers of course, and take in a few shops too.
Picture is a view out of the bedroom window. You can see the funicular at the top which os lot up at night. We can also tell if it is working or not during the day.
At the bottom you can see the Coach House bottom left, another of many cottages on this street. On the right a boarded yellow, large, cottage and behind that the Piece of Cheese Cottage. It is a wedge shaped cottage only really suitable for 1. Ange has looked into it before and it isnt big enough for 2.

Uncomfortable bed at this cottage. Its sprung, and we can feel the springs! It isn't conducive to a good night's sleep.
